Botox & Lip Fillers
Even the best skincare regimen can’t fully stop the signs of aging. Today, Botox® and lip fillers account for nearly 10 million cosmetic procedures each year. These minimally invasive treatments offer a temporary yet effective way to smooth fine lines and deeper wrinkles, with no downtime!
As you start exploring these treatments, make an appointment with InVita Health & Wellness to support your aesthetic goals.
What Should I Know About Botox?
Botox injections work by relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles, resulting in smoother, more youthful-looking skin. Treatments are typically recommended every three to four months for best results.
Botox contains a purified form of botulinum toxin that temporarily blocks nerve signals in the targeted muscles. This reduces movement in the area, helping to soften “dynamic” or “expression” lines, such as forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet and smile lines.
Ahead of your first session, keep in mind:
- Common treatment areas include 11 lines between the eyebrows, forehead lines, crow’s feet and any other wrinkles from years of smiling, frowning and squinting.
- Botox does not address wrinkles from fat loss or sagging, like marionette lines or jowls.
- Effects are temporary. You’ll notice less movement in the area treated for several months, but follow-up treatments are recommended to maintain results.
How Much Will Botox Cost?
Botox is currently priced at $13 per unit. During the initial consultation, we’ll discuss your goals and areas of concerns. You’ll receive a personalized treatment plan that includes the number of units recommended by your provider.
What Should I Know About Lip Filler?
Lip fillers are a non-surgical injectable treatment for patients looking to enhance volume and smooth fine lines around the mouth. As we age, lips can lose their natural fullness; fillers help restore shape.
Most lip filler contains hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the human body that retains moisture and keeps skin hydrated. It gives lips that plump, smooth look.
Like Botox, lip fillers offer temporary results. They last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years, depending on the product and your body’s response.
How Much Will Lip Filler Cost?
Lip filler is currently available at $400 for a half syringe and $625 for a full syringe. Every visit includes a consultation to discuss your concerns and desired look. You and your provider will review a detailed treatment plan before moving forward with any procedure.
How Can I Reduce Swelling After Lip Fillers?
Some swelling is normal for the first few days. You may notice about 20 percent within the first 48 to 72 hours. To ease any discomfort, apply an ice pack or cloth-covered ice cube for 10 to 15 minutes to help reduce swelling, bruising or tenderness after the injection site.
What About Combining Botox and Lip Fillers?
Because they target different types of wrinkles and signs of aging, Botox and lip fillers are often used together for optimal results. While Botox softens expression lines around the forehead and eyebrows by limiting muscle movement, lip fillers restore volume and definition in the lips. During your consultation with us, we’ll decide which treatments are right for you.
